Mike Mosley

KoolAid - (noun) a vile concoction of deliciousness that can only be appreciated after an entire day of drinking to near unconciousness.  May lead to hours of restful sleep and contribute to the uncontrollable enjoyment of others as they apply duct tape and magic marker to various parts of your body.  May also cause spectators and onlookers to gather in awe.  Please use caution when consuming "KoolAid"

alan martin jr: PLACENTA!!!

So on the very last night of the Float Trip 2008, a bunch of us were sitting around with the Slow Rollin Lows at there campsite. Orey and Pug from the SRLs were passing the guitars, and we were listening to Pug play and sing, having a wonderful time. Of course, there had to be "That Guy," and it came in the form of Sammy and his bottle of Titos. Sammy sits down, and pretty much guzzles the bottle with some help from other people. Sammy being the one who had most of it was not thinking clear as usual. We are sitting around, and Casey Brooke comes walking up, and tells everyone that she can play the guitar and sing. (according to her she could sing "ok" but we found out just how "ok" her singing was) She picked up a guitar and did a GREAT job of "Traveling Soldier" and everyone was just floored. After we all picked our mouths up, Sammy looks at her, with every ounce of seriousness in his body and says..."Your voice......its....it sounds so sweet! It makes me think of that moment when a woman gives birth......" You could have heard a pin drop. We all look at Sammy and say..."Dude, you just told that poor girl that he voice reminds you of a placenta!!!!!!" After we all stopped rolling on the floor laughing, (one person even broke one of Lonnie Johnsons chairs...DAD!!!!) we realized that this was a story that was going to be told over and over again through out all the FTs that will ever be held. I promise there will be even better stories to come out of Float Trip 2009. I can tell you from experience that it will be something that you will never forget...you might not remember much about it, but you certainly will never forget your time at Mountain Breeze.

Rick Nelson: The Alarm Clock

That damn cannon.....

Friday, 27 March 2009

KariLou: ahem

russell - its not my fault your dad fell for the story :) i was about 25 beers into it at 3pm that day while sitting in the cold river drinking. it was easier for one person to just bring the keg to where we were. duh. im thinking either small insulated cooler for the river this year or mini floating keg... i need to start researching this stuff.

Rick Nelson: Burnt Feet

I'll never forget poor ol' Pooky's feet...Donny Waits old bass player covered his whole body with sun block and during our day long float, he kept up with their cooler tube by hooking his feet under the tube....well, when it was all said and done, the tube had rubbed off all the sun block from his feet and they were burnt to a crisp...the next morning, I swear they were nearly blue they were burnt to bad.....I never laughed so hard watching that poor guy hobble around trying to pack up to leave....LOL

Trish Gallaway: I AM THE CHERRY GIRL!!!

500 cherries soaked for a week and all those innocent, WILLING victims I got to hand feed!! amazing what people will stick in their mouths without even asking what it is! So EVIL and yet so GOOD :> it took days to get the red off my hands, and duct tape boy ate the most...Be prepared bringing twice as many this year!!!!

Jed aka EyeReckn: CherryBombed!

For some reason I still have flashbacks of this evil red liquid flowing throughout the RFT Saloon, followed shortly by artists falling off hay bales, and the total distruction of 3,000 brutal cherrybombs! Full grown men in grass skirts and coconut bras, and Duct-tape Nate. A truly amazing experience that I haven't missed yet and never plan to either. So much fun with my Rowdies, that it was worth calling off my engagement! Muhahah!!!

Russell Anderson: Where to start????

Let me see, I could start with a certain someone convincing my dad that she is Cara's sister and trying to convince him to talk Cara into letting him take a keg of Shiner to the river. Or Hmmm, say looking for a finger, or that Duct tape and markers are so much fun and painful. Or maybe not remembering long stretches of time, or maybe meeting great friends throughout the whole weekend. AND YES, YOU WILL DRINK THE KOOLAID!!!! Can't wait to see you there.

Melissa: Trust me....

There are many many stories that can be told about Rowdy Float Trip from drinking the koolaid to cherry bombs to McNaked to cowbell contests in speedos....but there is no way that mere words can paint the real picture for you.  Float Trip is something that needs to be experienced first hand to grasp it.  There's a reason why we talk about it almost everyday all year long until the next Float Trip...come find out for yourself!
